1% of retail workers are thinking of leaving their job

Retail works overall have shown signs of overall discontent with their jobs. There has been over a 10% drop in those excited to go to work despite being somewhat happier with their pay.

The benefits that matter to the nation

Free food is always a win, and the data certainly agrees. Free coffee and snacks are the most utilised benefit, with virtual working and flexible schedules following quickly behind at 23% and 21% respectively.

Free coffee and snacks remain a popular benefit despite a drop in usage compared to six months ago. The benefits which have seen an uptick in usage are social gatherings outside work at 19%, career development at 11% and flexible working schedule at 42%.

Contrary to other industries, support for reasonable work hours is less valued by retail workers compared to six months ago.

While 54% perceive it as affecting their job satisfaction, only 7% of retail workers indicate that their company's sustainability initiatives would prompt them to consider leaving their job.
