Flare Benefits Allowance Offer - Terms and Conditions

By accepting (all or part) of your Flare Benefits Allowance, or participating in the Flare Workplace Benefits Program, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THIS OFFER?

1. You are eligible for the offer if you:

  • are a resident of Australia who is at least 18 years old;
  • participate in the Flare Workplace Benefits Program;
  • receive a notice that you are eligible for the Flare Benefits Allowance;
  • activate your allowance during the Offer Period; and
  • satisfy the other requirements set out in sections 4 and 6 below.

OFFER PERIOD

2. The offer period runs from 25 October 2024 to 31 December 2025.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR ALLOWANCE

3. We will notify you if you are eligible for the Flare Benefits Allowance. You can activate your allowance by complying with sections 4 and 6 below.

4. You must notify us whether you intend to accept the allowance, and what benefits (if any) you would like to claim, by the time stipulated by Flare. Complete the journey in the Flare Benefits app by selecting benefits, and finishing the benefits set up. If you fail to do before the relevant deadline, you will forfeit your allowance (without any compensation).

5. Any restrictions or conditions disclosed to you about how your allowance can be used, form part of these terms and conditions.

6. Your allowance entitles you to partial reimbursement which will be supplied to you by way of a gift card if you:

  • provide any information reasonably requested by Flare or the relevant third party service provider; and
  • satisfy the following requirements:
    • in the case of an eligible health insurance policy or an eligible energy plan, sign up within 30 days of becoming a member of the Flare Workplace Benefits Program and hold it continuously for 90 days;
    • in the case of a novated lease for an eligible motor vehicle, place an order for a vehicle within 120 days of activating your allowance and subsequently accept delivery of the vehicle
    • in the case of an eligible home loan, settle your home loan within 120 days of activating your allowance.

You must remain a member of the Flare Workplace Benefits Program to receive any gift card from Flare that you are entitled to.

7. We will provide you with an estimate of any reimbursement you may be entitled to, by email, before you sign up for an eligible product. We may revise our estimate if you select a different product.

GIFT CARDS

8. Any gift card you are entitled to receive from Flare will be sent to you, by email, within 30 days of the date that all requirements in section 6 have been satisfied.

9. Use or redemption of any gift card is subject to the terms and conditions of the gift card issuer.

10. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash.

CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS ON THE OFFER

11. You can only claim your Flare Workplace Benefits Allowance once in any given calendar year.

12. Any taxes payable as a consequence of accepting the Flare Benefits Allowance or signing up for any products or services are your responsibility.

13. Products and services you sign up for are subject to the relevant product terms of use, including any financial services guide or product disclosure statement.

14. Flare does not guarantee the quality of any products or services you sign up for with a third party service provider or whether those products or services are suitable for your circumstances. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Flare does not accept any responsibility for losses (including any indirect or consequential losses) you suffer as a result of signing up for those products or services, unless those losses relate to Flare’s fraud, negligence or wilful default.

15. Some products may not be available to you through the Flare Workplace Benefits Program.

16. Comparisons between products do not compare all products in the market.

17. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion that is offered by Flare HR Pty Ltd.

GENERAL

18. Flare may receive a commission if you sign up for an eligible product through an approved third party service provider.

19. We may vary or discontinue this offer at any time. We will still honour the offer if you have accepted it prior to it being discontinued.

20. These terms and conditions do not replace or limit your statutory rights, including any rights you have under applicable consumer laws.

21. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws in force in the state of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

22. Flare values your privacy. We may collect and use information about you, and share it with third party service providers, for the purpose of administering this offer and providing you with products and services. Please view our Privacy Policy for more information about how we collect, use and disclose your personal information.

DEFINITIONS

  • Approved third party service provider means any third party service provider specified on our website or in our app, including:
    • Canopy Private Pty Ltd (ABN 99 168 628 073, ASIC No. 462611) as an Authorised Credit Representative of Australian Finance Group Ltd (ABN 11 066 385 822, Australian Credit Licence 558709);
    • Compare Club Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 29 634 600 007, AFS Representative no. 001279036) as an authorised representative of Alternative Media Pty Ltd (ABN 17 149 089 718, AFS Licence no. 486326); and
    • CMET Sales Pty Ltd (ABN 72 620 395 726, Australian Credit Licence 546 701).
  • Eligible product means any eligible product we specify, which is provided through an approved third party service provider.
  • Flare Benefits Allowance or allowance means any allowance made available to you by Flare, subject to these terms and conditions.
  • Flare Workplace Benefits Program means the workplace benefits program made available to you by Flare, in conjunction with your employer.
  • Gift Card means a digital gift card redeemable at the Flare Benefits Store which can be swapped for digital gift card(s) issued by a range of third party retailers, including Coles, Woolworths and Amazon.
  • We, us, our or Flare means Flare HR Pty Ltd (ABN 46 607 120 892) of Level 2, 309 Kent Street, Sydney, NSW 2000.
