October was a big month for Flare app development. From benefits plans, to member status and interactive tools within the app. We’ve got the lowdown on the latest release for Android and iOS, so let’s jump in.

Maximising savings through our customised Benefits Plan

We’re thrilled to launch our Benefits Plan within the Flare app. The annual benefits plan is a customisable and educational way for your people to engage with their workplace benefits and receive savings estimates across major household expenses. From everyday spending, to health cover, devices and transportation.
 
Employees can boost their take-home pay by up to 8% through pre-tax and post-tax savings.

Unlock additional savings with points

Points can now be earned in the Flare app for participating in employee benefit plans. There are four levels of membership status, ranging from Silver to Diamond, reserved for the most savvy members.

Employees with benefits are shown to be 66% more likely to apply their talents effectively at work and demonstrate a 30% increased level of enthusiasm to come to work*. When your people engage with benefits, they become more engaged within the workplace.

By accruing points within the Flare app, users can rise through the Benefits Club Status Levels, gaining access to additional savings and exclusive offers.

An employee reaching Diamond status could save 5% off grocery shopping at Woolworths, plus up to 10% at department stores and fashion retailers.

New to the Flare app is a digital end-to-end process where your your employees can discover about the benefits of novated leasing with an easy to use savings estimator – in under a minute.

Just select the vehicle type and budget, and you’ll see the total savings that can be realised over the lease term. We created this savings estimator to highlight the benefits of going green by calculating the savings from switching to an electric vehicle (i.e. paying no FBT, only available through a novated lease).

To help users get an instant quote on the vehicle they are seeking, we’ve also integrated a click-to-call feature into the app. So now you can chat with a leasing consultant about a solution that works for you.

Flare-exclusive health cover offers

Flare has partnered with Compare Club to provide exclusive health cover offers for Flare customers across a range of leading brands like AHM, Australian Unit, NIB, Peoplecare and more.
 
Our exclusive offers vary each month but can offer up to 8 weeks’ free cover, discounted policies and waived waiting periods – saving on average $300 per annual policy for your people**.

The beauty brands have landed! Here's what's new.

We’ve added in the following new luxury brands to our catalogue of storecards available both within the Flare desktop and app experiences:

  • Aveda – Save 5%
  • Estee Lauder– Save 5%
  • La Mer – Save 5%
  • Jo Malone – Save 5%
  • M.A.C Cosmetics – Save 5%

Leading into Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the holiday gifting period, now is the opportune time to take advantage of savings on storecards as retailers have deep promotions running online and instore. Please always check the retailer’s individual gift card terms and conditions.

What’s coming...

That’s not all, folks. Coming soon to the Flare app is:

  • Enhanced engagement features – think interactive quizzes and polls in the Flare app to help your workforce engage with their benefits and holistic wellness.
  • Admin event templates – we’ll be launching new out-of-the-box event templates within your benefits admin manager, to help you build out a calendar of engaging events in 2024 centred around cultural connections and wellbeing.
  • More benefits categories launched – we’ll be releasing new product categories in the benefits plan to continue in helping making your people’s pay go further.
